My favorite analogy is: we can’t start working on the window treatments for the third floor when the foundation is actively crumbling. There is no shame in pulling back to the studs in order to build something that won’t blow over at the first brush with bad weather (HGTV, call me?). Just because something isn’t broken, doesn’t mean it doesn’t need to be fixed.
